Dr. Fiona Weldon is a Chartered Clinical, Counselling & Forensic Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland. She is acknowledged as one of Irelands leading, most experienced psychologists with expertise in the field of adult mental health and forensics. She has over 20 years of specialist experience in assessment and evidence based treatment across all areas of adult mental health and in the forensic services. She trained in University College Dublin (BA Hons Psychology), Cardiff University (Dip. Psych) and Trinity College Dublin and her professional qualifications include a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (TCD, 2004), and a Masters in Counselling Psychology (TCD, 2001).
Dr Weldon is highly experienced in multimodal forms of therapy including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and integrative psychotherapy. She has particular expertise in Personality Disorders, Trauma, Eating Disorders, Risk Assessment in Forensics, Sexual & Relationship issues and Family Systems. She is currently serving as a board member on the Psychologists Registration Board with CORU having been appointed by Minister Simon Harris in 2017. She is a consultant to state and semi state organisations regarding mental health and is a regular voice on mental health issues in the national print and press media.
